Faith Formation for Children educates our children on the Catholic Faith. This ministry provides a structured program for all our children who are not attending a Catholic school. Special classes are also conducted to prepare children to receive their Sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist, and Confirmation. The goal of this ministry is to enable and encourage the students to learn more about their Faith.
Students in CGS (Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Level 1 & Grade 1 Religious Education usually attend classes on Sunday mornings from 9:00-10:30AM. Students in Grade 2/Communion attend Religious Education Classes are on Sunday morning from 10:45AM till Noon. Students in CGS (Catechesis of the Good Shepherd) Level 2 attend CGS on Monday evenings from 6:30-8:00 PM. Students in Grades 3-8 attend Religious Education Class on Monday evenings from 6:45-8:00PM. The classes are usually held from September (or August) through May. Parents can register their children for Religious Education on the parish website or by stopping by the Parish Office.
Parents must however stop by the Parish Office to register their children for First Sacraments of Penance and Eucharist and the Sacrament of Confirmation.
Spiritually gifted lay Catholic women and men who become Catechists are commissioned by the Pastor and assist in the teaching of these classes. This program also needs women and men to help as assistants and plan special programs and events. Please Note: CGS and Faith Formation will begin on Sunday, August 17th and Monday, August 18th located in Room 1 through 12.
