- Adult Confirmation Class
  
  Adult Confirmation Classes are for Catholics who have already received the Sacraments of Baptism and First Eucharist and would like to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. Baptism, First Eucharist, and Confirmation are called the Sacraments of Initiation. To be fully initiated into the Catholic Faith (e.g. To be a Godparent or Sponsor), you need to have received all three Sacraments. Baptism offers life, Confirmation strengthens life, and the Eucharist sustains it. Some Catholics who have received Baptism and First Communion may have never received Confirmation. St. Michael the Archangel Parish offers a twelve-week preparatory class for receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation. The classes are held on Monday evenings periodically throughout the year. - Order of Christian initiation of adults - OCIA
  
  OCIA, or the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults, is a journey which gently leads adults into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ within the Catholic Church. For adults who have never been baptized or adult Christians from other Christian denominations seeking to become Catholic, it is a spiritual time of preparation and conversion for the celebration of the sacraments of Baptism, First Eucharist, and Confirmation. OCIA begins in September with weekly Tuesday evening gatherings from 7:00 PM to 8:15 PM and continues into May. OCIA participants also attend Mass as a group on Sunday mornings. Besides providing catechesis of the Catholic teachings, OCIA seeks to encourage and enlighten one’s faith, direct one’s heart to God, and guide one into full participation as a member of the Body of Christ.
